Mutant Mag
Mutant Mag is an avant-garde fashion magazine, with androgyny as the theme of this fictional first issue. The popular fashion duo Fecal Matter is highlighted in the feature article and on the cover.
The goal was to apply principles common within avant garde fashion (grayscale, abstraction of form, etc.) to the page using unconventional type treatments and layouts. I layered disparate typefaces, skewed and stretched type, arranged blocks of text in strange ways, and overall tried to evoke the ethos of avant-garde fashion on the page.
