For a university illustration class, I was tasked with illustrating an object in a different style every week for 10 weeks. I chose a sword for my object, as I associate them with whimsy, fantasy, and an obsession with swords that I had as a child. As weeks went on, I had to be creative and try things out of my wheelhouse in order to continue challenging myself, which I greatly enjoyed. The style and colors of the final illustration were chosen by my instructor, based upon the styles I had explored thus far.
